Citizens Bank PLC appointed Mr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the bank. Prior to joining Citizens Bank, Mr. Rahman served as Senior Executive Vice President at Bank Asia.

With over 27 years of experience in the banking sector, Mr. Rahman has developed expertise with various leadership positions in prominent financial institutions in Bangladesh throughout his extensive banking career. He began his journey as a Probationary Officer at Dhaka Bank in 1997 and subsequently served in key roles at Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC., Jamuna Bank PLC and Bank Asia PLC. His diverse experience encompasses serving as Head of Branch and leading different divisions within these organizations.

Mr. Rahman is a seasoned professional who has consistently sought to enhance his expertise through participation in numerous training programs and workshops, both domestically and internationally at home and abroad. Mr. Rahman has visited several key financials hubs including United Kingdom (UK), Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Germany, UAE to engage with global banking. He completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka including an M.Com and B.Com (Hon’s) in Finance from the University of Dhaka.
